Redecorating:

• Give your mantel an instant makeover by leaning a large framed mirror on the top of the mantel
  and flanking it with tall candlesticks on either side.
• Whether alike or dissimilar, objects in odd-numbered groups create eye pleasing symmetry.
• Punch up seating with stylish pillow cushions and color coordinated throws to bring cohesiveness to a room.

Organizing:

• Use the S.O.R.T. system when clearing out. Save, Organize, Recycle, Toss.
• Always sort first, and then buy your organizing containers.
• Use clear bins to store items so you can see exactly what is inside. If you know where something goes, you are more likely to put it back. Label each bin on the top and on one side.

Staging:

• Clear the refrigerator of snapshots and drawings. Remove most family pictures from living spaces, box up trophies and awards, and clear personal and financial papers.
• Pare down. Declutter kitchen countertops, bathroom sinks and shelves, kid's toys, closets, dresser tops, etc.
• Check your curb appeal. Make sure sidewalks are clear, lawn is mowed, front door is not faded, bushes are trimmed and flower beds are weeded. A large pot of flowers on the doorstep says welcome.
